Canopy Walk at Hollow Pine
A guided morning among the crowns of the old pines, learning to read bark, light and birdsong from the ground up.
01
— Field notes
This is a walk about looking up. A local guide leads a small group through the oldest stand of pines in the Highlands, stopping often to read bark, listen for crossbills and notice how the light changes as the canopy closes.
The pace is easy and the route stays on soft, level paths. Expect more standing still than walking.
