Every place is visited, walked and lived in before it appears here. Nothing is listed because it paid to be.

We say what a place is like on a grey Tuesday as well as a perfect evening, and we never invent ratings or reviews.

Light on the land
We favour small hosts who care for their ground, and routes that ask little of it.
